The High Valley Amateur Radio Club is a non-profit organization, supporting a 2m open repeater located on San Antonio Mountain in North central New Mexico, operating on 146.760 MHz. At nearly 11,000 feet elevation, it covers most of Taos County, Eastern Rio Arriba County   and the San Luis Valley in Southern Colorado.  The call sign is KD5CHU.

Our site supports a wide variety of users, including a node on the WA5IHL Megalink, a Civil Air Patrol repeater, and an APRS digipeater. Income from some of the other users helps cover the cost of maintaining the site, including electricity, site fees and repairs.
Donations are always welcome.

San Antonio Mountain (SAM) is just North of the town of Tres Piedras, about 30 miles West of Taos.  SAM happens to be the largest free-standing mountain in the continental US.
The 16/76 repeater is not heavily used, but the club has maintained it for many years, since it covers a large area that nothing else covered until fairly recently.
